100Ah vs 280Ah Eco-Worthy Lithium Battery Comparison
Choosing between a 100Ah and 280Ah lithium battery depends on how much power you need in your campervan, motorhome or off-grid setup. Both Eco-Worthy batteries use LiFePO4 technology and Bluetooth monitoring, but the 280Ah battery stores significantly more energy for longer off-grid trips, larger inverters and higher power usage. Use the comparison below to understand the difference in battery capacity, charging times and solar charging performance.
| FEATURE | 12.8V 100AH | 12.8V 280AH |
|---|---|---|
| Battery Capacity | 100Ah | 280Ah |
| Nominal Voltage | 12.8V | 12.8V |
| Stored Energy | 1280Wh (1.28kWh) | 3584Wh (3.58kWh) |
| Energy Difference | Baseline capacity | Approx. 180% more stored energy |
| Battery Chemistry | LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) | LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) |
| Bluetooth Monitoring | Yes – app monitoring | Yes – app monitoring |

ECO-WORTHY CAMPERVAN POWER FAQS
Is a 100Ah lithium battery enough for a campervan?
It depends on your power usage. A 100Ah lithium battery provides around 1200–1300Wh of usable energy.
If you only use lights, phone charging, small fans, and occasional water pump, 100Ah can be enough.
But if you run a fridge, inverter, laptop, or heater, it will drain quickly. In that case, 280Ah or more is usually better.
Do I need solar with a lithium leisure battery?
It’s not mandatory, but it is highly recommended.
Without solar, you’ll rely only on driving or shore power to recharge.
With solar, your battery can recharge during the day, making your setup much more independent.
Do I need a DC to DC charger?
Yes, in most campervan setups it is essential.
It safely charges your lithium battery from the vehicle’s alternator.
It prevents overcharging, undercharging, and protects both the battery and alternator.
Can I monitor my Eco-Worthy battery on my phone?
Many Eco-Worthy lithium batteries come with a Bluetooth BMS, which allows phone monitoring.
